Hi, I take 20mg mtx and tramadol for flares (which I am in the middle of one right now Sad) However, I was diagnosed with mild depression (due to work, stress, family issues and obviously RA) the doctor prescribed prozac as i had been on this before for post natal depression. When I read the leaflet it says that you cannot take tramadol with the prozac, however, the doctor, never said this to me. I have researched it and it looks like I cant take both of them - has anyone ever taken both of them together???? Can you recommend other pain relief (difene does not touch the pain) please?????

Dear Tina,

It is always, always best to check with a DR however usually these leaflets cover everything and the medical profession cover themselves too....

I took Prozac for a while for post-natal depression many years ago (13!) and it was a wonder drug! there were some mornings I work almost euphoric....then I got pregnant again!

Love,

Amanda

I'm on Seroxat (part of the Prozac family) and would HATE to stop it! I take it with Tramadol and oromorph. My GP said it would be fine when I questioned him on this point.
